About

When I first learned about the RC hobby as 12 year old kid, nitro RCs seemed pretty awesome, but too complex and expensive. Why mess with engines and tuning and fuel when there was great electric RCs available for less money?

Ten years later, I found myself getting back into the RC hobby and while I had developed an appreciation for nitro RCs, I still saw them as expensive and complex. I had no confidence that I could properly operate and maintain a nitro RC.

Another 15 years passed and I found myself once again looking at RC cars online, but this time I was exclusively looking at nitro RCs and I wasn’t so intimidated anymore. I was more mechanically skilled at this point in my life, but more importantly, I knew that with a simple online search, I could find the answer to just about any question I have. So I started asking questions and finding answers.

I found answers in forums, reddit posts, Facebook groups, YouTube videos, and official manufacturer documents. The information was there for anyone to find, but it wasn’t easy to make sense of it all.

NitroRCs.com is my humble attempt to transform the collective knowledge of the Nitro RC community into an accessible, trusted resource. I want to make it easier for you to find answers you are looking for when you learning about Nitro RCs, buying them, and operating them.

This website is an ongoing effort. If you have any questions or see something on the site that should be fixed or improved, please contact me.

Sincerely,
Dave
